Newborn sessions are a completely different pace than the normal family pictures. All is quiet, and the main objective is to get baby to sleep. Well baby B was relaxed as a little bug, but stayed awake for quite some time!

There's nothing I love more than seeing first time parents gaze into the eyes of a newborn, totally unaware of anything but the sweet needs of their baby. They take in every detail - the soft fuzzy arms, a petite button nose, wisps of fine baby hair, and the delicate fingers wrapped around their own long fingers. But sweet baby girl's daddy worked his magic to get her relaxed enough to sleep - some. :)

Oh how I love this growing family!

I texted the mom, "Has it really been ONE year since we took these newborn photos???"

Indeed, it had!

Sweet baby {M} is a mama's girl and wanted nothing to do with the lady behind the camera. But a walk and some playful distractions turned those tears into the most joyful smiles, and she never stopped smiling!

A cake smash at the end was the perfect ending to the perfect session, and sweet baby {M} did not disappoint! Her dainty finger tested out the frosting, and soon she was clapping and painting her legs with all that yummy pink goo. It took some prompting to put it in her mouth, but what a fun surprise to eat such sweet cake after being allowed to play with her food.

Oh, to be one again! Happy birthday!

The rain clouds held off for us, but the wind was not nice to us! Good thing this sweet family's smiles were not affected - makes me smile just lookin' at these pictures!

This girl is gorgeous, inside and out!

The clouds parted and gave us a bit of sun and warmth, one of the only nights that didn't rain. But Morgan's coy and sweet smile was the thing that brightened up the whole session!

Life is going to be grand for this sweet lady full of spunk and sweetness, and I can't wait to see what kind of adventures she takes. Way to go Morgan!

I absolutely adore & admire this family. Mama J seems to have endless energy keeping up with the busy-ness these 3 kids provide. But she does it with grace, a smile, and a whole lot of making others laugh! These kids are lucky to have her....

Anyway, we traveled through the woods and explored the paths near their new house. It was heaven for the boys, and we somehow managed to get away without any major mud/dirt/falling incidences!
