While on vacation to the mountains of Utah, my cute little nephew just happened to turn ONE! There's nothing more fun than watching a kid dive unrestrained into pure sweet sugary frosting! He kept looking at us like, "is this really okay?"

But before he got all sticky, we had to get some cute family photos of my sister's cute little family. Man, I already miss those mountains. (And the cute people in these pictures, of course!)

I texted the mom, "Has it really been ONE year since we took these newborn photos???"

Indeed, it had!

Sweet baby {M} is a mama's girl and wanted nothing to do with the lady behind the camera. But a walk and some playful distractions turned those tears into the most joyful smiles, and she never stopped smiling!

A cake smash at the end was the perfect ending to the perfect session, and sweet baby {M} did not disappoint! Her dainty finger tested out the frosting, and soon she was clapping and painting her legs with all that yummy pink goo. It took some prompting to put it in her mouth, but what a fun surprise to eat such sweet cake after being allowed to play with her food.
